“People will forget what you say, people will forget what you do, but people will never forget how you make them feel.” — Maya Angelou
“Promise me you’ll always remember: you’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” — Christopher Robin (A.A. Milne)
Erika is a masters level intern at Castleman Counseling and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University. She believes that starting therapy takes a lot of courage and she is ready to meet you where you are. As an intern, she brings a fresh perspective to this work. Before beginning her studies, she was self-employed and focused on raising her four children, three of whom are now adults, and the youngest is a teenager. She enjoys hiking with her husband of 28 years, reading, going for walks with her Shi-Poo puppy, and playing the piano.
Erika is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Tennessee Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Erika is under the supervision of Lindsey Castleman, LMFT #1268
Fun Fact: I put myself through college working the night shift at a meat-packing plant, I lived on an island in the Puget Sound for three years, and I grew up in Minnesota so I like when the cold hurts my face.
