“The gifts of life are often hidden in the places that most hurt.” Henri Nouwen
“To love at all is to be vulnerable.” C.S. Lewis
Originally from Georgia, Hunter moved to Nashville in 2020 and brings with him nearly a decade of experience working in church settings in roles ranging from discipleship ministry to pastoral support. His initial pursuit of vocational ministry was rooted in a desire to understand how people grow and change—an interest that eventually led him toward professional counseling.
Hunter has served as a Graduate Assistant to the Clinical Director at Lipscomb University and interned at a crisis center, where he gained experience administering clinical assessments in high-stress situations. His counseling work is shaped by existential, psychodynamic, and attachment-based frameworks, as well as his own personal experience in counseling, ministry, and recovery.
Hunter Braden, M.S. Temp. #8238 is under the supervision of Shonda S. Vaughn, LPC-MHSP, NCC, #4262.
Fun fact: Hunter enjoys brewing specialty coffee, exploring new restaurants with friends, and attending concerts, plays, and symphony performances. He’s often found browsing antique stores and used bookstores, walking his golden retriever around the neighborhood, or planning his next trip.
